JLP podcast bursts onto the scene for Alien Day

By Jack O. Lantern
‘Head’ Writer/Editor

UFO SPRINGS -- At 12:15 this morning in a saucer hangar just outside Area 13, the proud human carrier of an alien species let out his last breaths as the being inside of him burst out of his chest just like you saw in the movie “Alien” (1979) and set out on a reign of terror that’s still taking place, and will most likely continue to take place for years and years to come, unless some US Colonial Marines come in and ruin it for the slimy fella by shooting it to bits and pieces.

Happy Alien Day! That’s right, it’s April 26, aka 4-26, a reference to exomoon LV-426, where the historic crew of the USCSS Nostromo encountered alien eggs.

Today also marks the birth of the all-new Jack-o’-Lantern Press Podcast. “Episode 01 – Aliens Attack!” is just in time for the Alien Day festivities taking place all over a bunch of worlds in many galaxies and universes. So while thousands of crawlers are playing daylong games of hide-and-go-mutilate, and facehuggers are in search of faces to hug and hosts to implant their proboscises, you can fire up your favorite podcast app and listen to JackoLanternPress.com’s very own Michael Picarella and Tom Picarella talk about the things that put smiles on their faces on this happy day.

“We discuss monsters and Halloween,” said podcast co-host Michael Picarella. “And in this first episode, my brother and I share our three favorite alien encounters.”

You can find the show on Apple Podcasts HERE or on Spotify HERE. It’s also available on several other platforms as well.

Check it out. And be on the lookout for an upcoming audio sneak peak of the type of shows you can expect to find in the coming months as we close in on the release date of “Transylveinya Traveler: A Travel Guide for Monsters, Ghosts, Vampires, Aliens, Werewolves, Witches, Zombies, Demons … And Mad Scientists, Too.”

The Jack-o'-Lantern Press Podcast

"We're hoping to do at least one or two more episodes by Halloween night," said JLP Publisher Michael Picarella. "And we're planning to do a podcast where we'll discuss the results of the all-too-important Transyl-vein-ia Presidential Election, which we'll post on Nov. 9th or 10th."

Transyl-vein-ia will vote for a new president on Nov. 8, 2016. The five candidates running are Count Dracula, Sea Creature, Jason, Frankenstein's Monster and the Wolf Man.

"It's anyone's guess who will win," said JLP Head of Research and Development Tom Picarella. "I'm still looking over the news coverage our reporters from Jack-o'-Lantern Press are bringing in. I know that before I go into the booth, I'll be able to make a more informed decision. And I'll be able to discuss that decision on the show and know what I'm talking about."

"The Jack-o'-Lantern Podcast" is everything your ears have wanted to have in them next to bed bugs and cockroaches. Check it out tonight!
